About this policy
A3 Direct Solutions LLP provides Winnow: Read & Grow. This policy covers the native Winnow app and its mobile account service. The Winnow website has a separate account system and privacy policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
Your account and security
We store your name, email address, account identifier and a protected password hash to create and secure your mobile account. Authentication records include session identifiers, IP addresses and user-agent information. Your session is stored in secure storage on your device. Password recovery uses a one-time code sent through our transactional email provider, Resend. Do not share your password or recovery codes with support.
Reading and personalization
We store your selected topics, goals, timezone, reading progress and positions, completed ideas, saved ideas, stash names, journeys and preferences to provide your reading library and synchronize it across your devices. If you complete the optional quiz, your answers may include age range, gender, interests and self-reported preferences. The quiz draft is stored on your device and its profile is associated with your mobile account when you complete the account flow. Searches are processed locally from the app’s catalog.
Subscriptions
Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts, product and transaction identifiers, subscription status and an identifier linked to your Winnow account so we can provide paid access, restore purchases and understand subscription activity. We do not receive your full payment card number. Apple and RevenueCat process this information under their own policies.
Support and service providers
If you contact support, we receive your email and the information you choose to send. We use Cloudflare to host the mobile service, PlanetScale to store account and reading data, Resend to deliver account emails, and RevenueCat and Apple for subscriptions. These services process the information needed to operate their features and may process it in countries other than your own. Service logs may contain request information needed for reliability and security.
Advertising and device permissions
The native app does not include the website’s TikTok Pixel, advertising cookies or affiliate tracking. We do not use native app data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising, or sell your personal information. The app does not require access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, photo library or health data to read content.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and reading data while needed to provide the service. You can delete your mobile account in Account → Delete account. This removes its account credentials, sessions and associated reading profile from the mobile database. Website accounts are separate. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription or delete Apple or RevenueCat records; manage billing through Apple. Providers may retain transaction, security, backup or legal records under their own retention requirements.
Your choices and requests
You can change reading preferences in the app, reset the quiz draft, sign out, or delete your account. For a copy of your data, correction, or other privacy requests, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account. We may verify your identity before acting. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the processing of personal information, and complain to your local privacy authority.
Children and updates
Winnow is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it when appropriate. We will update this page when our data practices change; the date above identifies the current version.
